Tomatin's Cù Bòcan 2005 Vintage

Tomatin Distillery launches a 2005 Vintage of its lightly peated Cù Bòcan single malt today. The whisky has been bottled at 50% ABV (applause please) and matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. 11.400 bottles of Cù Bòcan 2005 Vintage  are to hit the mark as we speak.

Cù Bòcan 2005 VintageVintage 2005 contains peated malt of the first generation. Tomatin only started to distill peated spirit in 2005. Every year during the last week of the year they distill a peated malt. The rest of the year is reserved to producing the fruity Tomatin spirit.

2005 Vintage has aromas of butterscotch and toffee apples with flavours of candy floss and a gentle touch of peat smoke.

The suggested retail price of the whisky will be £49.99 or €59.

The story behind the brand Cù Bòcan is based upon the myth of a hellhound terrorising the villagers of Tomatin.
