We wisten al even dat deze release van Bowmore er zat aan te komen. De derde Devil's Casks is een combinatie van first-fill Oloroso en Pedro Ximenez sherryvaten. En de leeftijdsaanduiding moest eraan geloven. Dit is geen 10 jaar oude single malt meer zoals de twee vorige releases.
Het label op de achterzijde heeft de proefnotities in Bowmore stijl:
"On the eye deep mahogany. Breathe in a cornucopia of rich, dark exotic fruits, sultana, mango and raisin, fused with earthy angelica root and treacle toffee. Sip the smooth rounded taste of date oil, chocolate fudge and salted reacle, warmed by orange-laced Aruba coffee. Savour the long-lasting finish of smoked fruitcake, blood orange and sea salt."
UPDATE 21/10/2015: De derde batch staat hier en daar al te koop op Duitse websites voor €239 - €249. En blijkbaar was hij al te proeven op Whisky Live Warsaw.
Update 22/10/2015: De officiële PR van Bowmore zou rondgestuurd zijn. De prijs wordt £190 / €260 en de lanceringsdatum is pastgeprikt op 26 oktober.
